Real Madrid want Jadon Sancho to join their arsenal of attacking players.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with the Borussia Dortmund and England winger, who has scored 17 Bundesliga goals and created 17 this season.
Sancho is in blistering form for Borussia Dortmund
Chelsea have also been linked with the 20-year-old, who has been valued at £100m, however, Real Madrid’s plan relies on other clubs deciding against spending huge money on him, according to Spanish newspaper AS.
Real are unlikely to have the funds available this summer and an extra year will allow them to raise funds after being crippled by the coronavirus pandemic.
Manager Zinedine Zidane currently has Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard, Asensio, Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr and Luka Jovic to name a few at his disposal up top, but Sancho is on the radar as the Real attack is likely to be overhauled.
The headline on AS’ front page reads ‘Watch out for Sancho’
Sancho scored the first hat-trick of his career in Dortmund’s 6-1 win against Paderborn at the weekend where all eyes were on the Bundesliga again as the only professional league in action.
Only Cristiano Ronaldo, Eden Hazard, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez have managed to record more than 15 goals and assists in a single season and Bundesliga commentator Kevin Hatchard told talkSPORT Dortmund side are hoping to keep Sancho for another season having produced a team finally capable of challenging Bayern Munich for the title.
It appears they will not sell unless their £100m-plus valuation is met IN FULL with the German media suggesting the club are happy to take their time.

Glen Johnson says Jadon Sancho should join Liverpool, rather than Manchester United, this summer
Ideally theyd like to keep Jadon Sancho for one more season and have a proper go at winning the title next season, and they feel that maybe the impact of COVID-19 could help them to do that.
I do think if Manchester United want him, and they clearly do, this summer they are going to have to match Dortmunds valuation.
This is one of the best young players in the world and Dortmund are in no rush to sell him.
The onus is very much on Manchester United to make their move.
