Thousands expected at Edmonton protest triggered by U.S. in-custody death of George Floyd

At one point, a speaker asked the crowd to take a knee and they followed, raising fists in the air.
After a moment of silence, they chanted Black lives matter.
Najori Rodan said he came to support his people, stand against police brutality and to say that black lives matter too. His sign said No Justice No Peace.
I coloured it where its the colours of my Caribbean people. But the red shows the blood that has been spilled by white cops and racist white supremacists over 400 years of slavery.
Minutes before the rally began, a white man in the crowd who was standing with a bicycle glanced toward an approaching black family, his eyes fixated on a child in a stroller.
As the family got closer, he lunged towards them, reaching down to touch the back of the stroller.
The woman flinched and tried to move away.
The man moved closer and as he touched the back of the stroller his intention became clear: he had noticed the strollers latch was unlocked. He clicked it into place to keep the child safe.
