There are 881 patients with Covid-19 in acute hospitals, as well as 448 suspected cases, according to new figures obtained by RTÉ News.
A Health Service Executive acute hospitals operational report shows that the hospitals with the largest number of confirmed cases are in Dublin, where Beaumont Hospital has 143 cases, the Mater 87, St James’s 81, Tallaght 81 and St Vincent’s 69. 
Among the children’s hospitals, there are two confirmed cases at Temple Street and one case at Crumlin.
Outside of the capital, Our Lady of Lourdes Drogheda has 36 confirmed cases, Limerick University Hospital 35 and Cork University Hospital has 32.
The official figures are reported up to 8am yesterday.
Of the 448 suspected Covid-19 cases, Limerick University Hospital has 54, St Vincent’s 43, Letterkenny 35, Galway University Hospital 32, Mayo 30 and Cork 26.
These 448 patients – ‘suspected cases’ – were awaiting swab test results up to yesterday.
The report also shows that the daily rate of admission to hospital of confirmed cases has reduced slightly.
The largest number of ‘new’ cases reported in a single day was yesterday, with 657 cases, excluding results from older tests done in a German laboratory.
