I dont get why this is a surprise to anyone. Companies arent entities. Theyre not things that are obliged to care about anything, theyre a system made to generate money. The people who work there all have their own views, some care some dont, the company as a whole isnt like some big giant person made up of loads of small people walking around and making sentient decisions
