Conor McGregor has retired from fighting AGAIN, just six months after his comeback.
The former two-weight world champion knocked out Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone at UFC 246 in just 40 seconds as he outlined plans to fight at least three times in 2020.
However, taking to Twitter in the early hours of Sunday morning, McGregor informed fans he had decided to walk away from the sport.

Just moments after Amanda Nunes made history at UFC 250 by defending her featherweight title, the Irishman released his statement on social media confirming his retirement.
A rematch with bitter rival Khabib Nurmagomedov for the lightweight title seemed to be almost a certainty after president Dana White urged ‘The Notorious’ to drop back down to lightweight.
The win over Cerrone at 170lbs seemed to open up the possibility of fighting at welterweight against either Kamaru Usman or Jorge Masvidal.
However, the Irishman seemed to hone in on interim champion Justin Gaethje after the pair traded verbal barbs on social media.
Gaethje defeated Tony Ferguson at UFC 249 to set up a fight with either Khabib or Conor McGregor
Yet his third retirement since 2016 appears to have put any plans on hold for the moment.
He first retired in 2016 after his loss to Nate Diaz at UFC 196, before returning at UFC 202 to avenge the loss.
The former two-weight world champion packed it in again for the second time in April 2019 after the chastening defeat to Khabib.
