Jamie O’Hara has urged footballers to ‘stay home, stay safe and take the pressure off the NHS’ after FOUR Arsenal players were pictured breaking coronavirus social distancing guidelines.
As the country remains on lockdown because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, David Luiz, Granit Xhaka, Nicolas Pepe and Alexandre Lacazette were spotted flouting rules to remain at home.
A photograph of Nicolas Pepe shared on WhatsApp showed him playing football with a group of people, while Luiz and Xhaka had a kickabout between themselves.
Pepe was exposed by a WhatsApp message which was widely shared on social media
Lacazette was also pictures breaching the government imposed guidelines as he had his car cleaned, with a valeter clearly shown in his driveway.
Lacazette is clearly not adhering to social distancing guidelines in the above picture
After the pictures emerged, an Arsenal spokesperson told The Sun: “Well be speaking to our players.
We were concerned so we have spoken to Nicolas who shares a house with a number of relatives who were involved in this game.
We have reminded him of the importance of everyone following the guidelines.
The pictures of the Arsenal players are made worse by the fact they have come in the wake of Tottenham players already being criticised for breaching the coronavirus guidelines.
Jose Mourinho, Tanguy Ndombele, Davinson Sanchez and Ryan Sessegnon were rapped at the start of this month after being pictured training on Hadley Common in north London, while only earlier this week Serge Aurier uploaded a video on Instagram of him and Moussa Sissoko training together.

Spurs chiefs have spoken to those involved in the lockdown breaches, and the Arsenal hierarchy will do the same to Pepe, Luiz, Xhaka and Lacazette.
And the four Gunners stars have been branded ‘immature’ by talkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara, who ranted about the incident on Thursday’s Breakfast show.
Its just stupid isnt it,” began the former Spurs midfielder. “Footballers are under so much scrutiny at the minute and everyones looking for a story because there is no content around, so anything they put up I mean, why would you put on Instagram that you are training together and going to the park?
Its really immature from them, and people are still dying.
You can see the papers are just crying out for a story now, and if you are going to give them one it WILLbe used and its going to be everywhere.
Give COVID-19 the red card
The quicker we work together to stop coronavirus spreading, the sooner we can get back into the pubs, the gyms and stadiums and arenas to see live sport again
STAY AT HOME. Only leave for the following purposes:

  • to shop for basic essentials  only when you really need to
  • to do one form of exercise a day  such as a run, walk or cycle, alone or with other people you live with
  • for any medical need  for example, to visit a pharmacy or deliver essential supplies to a vulnerable person
  • to travel to and from work  but only where this is absolutely necessary

The government has also issued further detail on what we can do during lockdown.
Everyone should do what they can to stop coronavirus spreading.
These guys have got beautiful homes and they are on a lot of money; just train at home! You dont need to see your mate in a park in a field.
Youre not in an apartment! I guarantee these boys arent in an apartment with a balcony, they have big gardens and a nice bit of land.
Just stay home and stay safe! Thats the whole point of this.
Keep the pressure off the NHS!
They are just flouting the rules and its immature of them.
