An investigation is under way into a house fire in Dublin in which a person died.
Emergency services were alerted to the blaze at the house at Stannaway Avenue in Crumlin at around 9pm last night.
The person’s body was discovered after the fire was brought under control.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and the body will be removed to Dublin City Mortuary, where a post-mortem examination is due to be carried out.
Gardaí say the results will determine the course of their investigation.
