Christian Pulisic suffered what appeared to be a serious hamstring injury during Saturday’s FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal.
The USA international had a brilliant start to the game for Chelsea as he scored the opening goal within the first six minutes.

Olivier Giroud’s clever flick freed Pulisic and he saw off Kieran Tierney before finishing past goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
The 21-year-old’s match was over early in the second half, however, as he went down in agony in the Arsenal box.
The winger was through on goal and managed to get his shot away, before installing falling to the ground while clutching the back of his leg.
Pulisic scored his 11th goal of the season to give Chelsea an early lead at Wembley
Replays showed Pulisic grimacing throughout his run towards the Arsenal area, but he fought through the pain to try and score and restore Chelsea’s lead.
It was the second injury setback of the game for Frank Lampard’s side as Cesar Azpilicueta also looked like he suffered a hamstring injury and had to be helped off the field.
Pulisic’s goal was cancelled out by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s first half penalty before the Gabon international added a second after the break to hand the trophy to Arsenal.
It was a nightmare day for Frank Lampard’s side as they ended with just nine players on the pitch.

Mateo Kovacic was sent off for a second yellow card before Pedro was stretchered off in the closing stages with a shoulder injury.
Lampard discussed the injuries after the full-time whistle.
“To have two hamstrings [Azpilicueta and Pulisic] and a dislocated shoulder [Pedro],” began Lampard. “Willian got injured yesterday and had to pull out…“We were at the end of a long, long season and it felt like it came a bit to the tipping point today.”
The Blues take on Bayern Munich next Saturday as they hope to overcome a 3-0 first leg deficit to book their place in the Champions League quarter-finals.
They already faced an uphill task before losing Pulisic and captain Azpilicueta to injury, and Lampard made it clear there is no chance the duo will play against the German champions.
Pedro suffered a shoulder injury in the final stages of the game
Lampard added: “I don’t know the full extent of the injuries, but I know the hamstrings with Azpi and Christian – they have to be scanned and assessed over the next few days. They clearly won’t be fit for next week.
“Pedro, I believe it could be a dislocated shoulder but don’t go too soon on that.
“I’ve not seen him yet as he was whisked away so it’s a disappointing end as that’s probably going to be his last game for Chelsea.
“He’s been an incredible servant and I’m disappointed for him.”
