Valencia winger Ferran Torres looks set to be Man Citys first summer signing.
It is understood City are closing in on a deal for Torres, as a replacement for Leroy Sane, in their first piece of summer transfer business.
Torres is highly-rated by Man City boss Pep Guardiola
Earlier this month, Sane ended his four-year stay in Manchester to join Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in a transfer worth up to £55million.
It is believed Torres would cost in the region of £40m with City plotting a number of new additions in the close season after relinquishing the Premier League title to Liverpool.
The 20-year-old winger scored four goals and five assists as the LaLiga club could only manage a ninth-placed finish this season.
City are also targeting at least one new central defender amid links to Bournemouth ace Nathan Ake, whose club suffered relegation to the Championship on Sunday.
John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi could be moved on as Pep Guardiola looks to strengthen his defensive options.

City director of football Txiki Begiristain admits it is going to be a strange transfer window due to the club’s involvement in the Champions League.
City lead Real Madrid 2-1 heading into their second leg last-16 clash at the Etihad on Augusy 7.
Begiristain told the clubs official website: We are working a lot, we have to be ready.
It will be a strange window because people have to move fast, we have to bring players who can improve our squad but also it means that maybe someone can leave.
It will be strange also because we have the Champions League so we have to wait to move forward until the Champions League is finished.
We might have less time than ever but well have time to make the changes we need to improve the squad.
